About Me
My name is Mac Dameron and I am currently studying Media, Arts, & Design Technology at North Carolina State University. My concentration is in Animation, but I love all forms of media. In my free time I love to paint, crochet, and work with clay. I also hold a job on campus in the Lampe Makers Space as a Lab Assistant. I am a part of the NCSU Student Made program. In this program I sell my work online and at various pop-up markets on campus and around Raleigh. Visit studentmadencstate.com to check out me and other creators!

Growing up I was constantly creating. It was me and my box of crayons against the world. Both my Mom and Mimi painted and got me into around elementary school. On occasion we would go and paint pottery, something that really boosted my love for creating. I have always known that I wanted to become an artist, but figuring out a career that would support my creativity was the challenge. Expressing myself through art is so important to me, and I want to continue to do that throughout my life. I want to become an animator and illustrator to bring joy, entertainment, and strong emotions to others. I want my art to inspire other artists and to make them think in new ways. To me, becoming an animator, it is not about the money, it is about loving what I do and the impact my work has on others. After I graduate I hope to get a position as an animator or illustrator at a small company. It would be amazing to stay with a company and help them grow.
